Mastercard renews UEFA Champions League deal

UEFA announced today that an agreement has been reached with MasterCard, one of the world's leading payment system providers, to continue as an official partner of the UEFA Champions League for the new 2012–15 cycle, and for the UEFA Super Cup in 2012, 2013 and 2014.

The three-year deal will run until the end of the 2014/15 season and will see MasterCard continue to leverage the sponsorship through its exclusive product category: payment systems.

Ford renews UEFA Champions League sponsorship

UEFA has today announced the extension of its sponsorship agreement with Ford for the UEFA Champions League seasons from 2012 to 2015.

Ford continues its long association with Europe's biggest and most prestigious club football competition. As a founding partner, Ford has been an official partner and official vehicle supplier for the UEFA Champions League since 1992.

In renewing the partnership with UEFA, Ford will celebrate 20 years of being a sponsor. This will be further communicated in the official designation, "Ford, sponsor since 20 years".

Sony Ericsson dials up football sponsorship

Sony Ericsson is dialling up its sponsorship activity for the UEFA Champions League this season, following the unexpected success of its tennis sponsorship campaigns.

This year’s Champions League activity will be “dialled up” to include a number of social media campaigns, which the company says have been successful in building brand awareness and driving sales of the Xperia handset range.
