Iselect enters V8 Supercar market with LDM deal

Lucas Dumbrell Motorsport has signed iSelect as its new title sponsor, revealing its new livery in the Clipsal 500 pits today.

iSelect is a private health insurance broker and will use their title sponsorship to promote their website, iSelect.com.au, running an orange and white livery, replacing Gulf Western Oil.

Holden extends relationship with Walkinshaw & Team Vodafone

Holden has signalled its readiness for next year’s introduction of V8 Supercars’ Car of the Future by announcing it had extended its agreements with championship teams, Walkinshaw Racing’s factory Holden Racing Team and Triple Eight Race Engineering’s TeamVodafone.

Making the announcement, Holden’s sponsorship manager Simon McNamara said continuing the successful partnership will ensure that Holden will have the upper hand when the new regulations are introduced in 2013.

COOPERS JOINS FORCES WITH V8 SUPERCARS

COOPERS Brewery and V8 Supercars are joining forces, with the iconic South Australian brewer becoming a premium partner of the sport.

Coopers, now the largest Australian-owned brewer, and V8 Supercars have signed an agreement that will give Coopers pourage rights to all Australian V8 Supercar events and the title of Official Beer Partner of the sport.

The announcement coincides with the 150th year celebration for Coopers which just last year was named as the world’s top family business ahead of giant global brands such as Lego and Estee Lauder.

The South Australian-born-and-bred company will make its V8 Supercar debut at the Clipsal 500 next month (March 1-4), an Adelaide event that is a four-time winner of Australian Tourism’s Best Festival or Event.

Virgin Australia partners with V8 Supercars as official domestic airline

Virgin Australia and V8 Supercars today announced a partnership that will see it become the official domestic airline of V8 Supercars.

Virgin Australia will transport V8 Supercar staff and the majority of teams to the 15 Australian events across the country and one in New Zealand, as well as offering fans great savings for flights and holiday packages when they travel to those events.

The V8 Supercar fan base will also have access to a range of great value domestic fares and tailored packages from Virgin Australia as the new official domestic airline.

NISSAN enters the V8 Supercars with Kelly Racing

In one of the most significant events in V8 Supercar history Japanese car giant Nissan will join the pinnacle of Australian motorsport and touring car racing by entering the Championship from 2013.

After a 20-year absence from the Australian Touring Car Championship, Nissan Motorsport (Australia) will run four cars with up and coming V8 Supercar team Kelly Racing.

From 2013, Kelly Racing will campaign as Nissan Motorsport – a formalised factory team.

BJR Unlocks new Naming Right Sponsor

World-leading lock group, ASSA ABLOY, has stepped into the role of title sponsor for the 2012 V8 Supercar season, backing Fabian Coulthard’s car 14.

ASSA ABLOY is the parent company of iconic Australian brand Lockwood, which will feature on Coulthard's car as well as the front bumper of Jason Bright's Commodore.

Coulthard's new livery was launched at ASSA ABLOY's Melbourne headquarters, along with the team mascot.

Lee Holdsworth will become part of the Monster Energy Drink family in 2012.

To go with his new drive at IRWIN Racing, the two-times V8 Supercars race winner has unveiled a new helmet design for the 2012 V8 Supercars Championship – including support from Monster and Fujitsu General.
